Cellulaze is the world’s first and only one time treatment for cellulite that is FDA approved.  This is a minimally invasive, laser assisted treatment for reducing stubborn cellulite.  It will restore smooth, healthy looking skin.

Board-certified Connecticut plastic surgeon Dr. Stanley Foster has extensive experience with laser-based body contouring treatments including SmartLipo, which is also produced by Cellulaze maker Cynosure. As of February 2012, Dr. Foster was the only trained Cellulaze provider in Connecticut.

How Cellulaze Works

A majority of women over age 20 begin to develop rippled or dimpled areas of cellulite—particularly around the thighs and buttocks—that may resemble an orange peel or cottage cheese. Because cellulite is a skin structure problem, these cellulite deposits rarely respond to dietary or fitness changes.

Approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in January 2012, Cellulaze is a minimally invasive treatment that provides long-lasting results by targeting the three root causes of cellulite:

  • The bulging pockets of fat underneath the skin surface
  • The fibrous connective tissue below the skin that can tighten and stiffen
  • The dermis, or sublayer of skin below the epidermis

Cellulaze removes the excess fat, releases the contracted tissue bands, and stimulates your natural production of collagen to improve skin tone and elasticity.

The Cellulaze Procedure

Cellulaze treatment is performed with a local anesthetic and takes about one to one-and-a-half hours.

The procedure itself involves tiny incisions in the target area, through which Dr. Foster will insert a laser fiber via a small surgical tube (or cannula). The SideLight 3D Cellulaze laser fiber is used to:

  • Even out fatty tissue bumps
  • Treat dimpled cellulite deposits by releasing fibrous bands of tissue
  • Stimulate collagen production to improve your skin
  • Remove liquefied fat

You will continue to see improvement in the weeks following the Cellulaze procedure, with final results evident after a few months. Most patients report maintaining their results for up to two years, and Cellulaze boasts a patient satisfaction rating of 93 percent.

The recovery time from Cellulaze is brief. You may experience some minor bruising and brief discomfort in the treated area, and most patients are able to resume routine activities within a day or two after the Cellulaze procedure and engage in strenuous exercise within a week or two following Cellulaze treatment.
